Christmas Gift Class

Image
Update from the Christmas Gift Class: I had a small turn out, but that is fine. That let me spend quality time with my customers and they created some beautiful crafts. Hi everyone! I have the gift class projects ready to post on here. I had to wait for my preorder to come in.  Here is the candle we will make, it will come in a bag we will make with a tag. We will also be making this ornament heat embossed and water colored. I have more stamps to chose from for the candle and the ornament.  The ornament will be hanging from an eyelet with gold trim. I misplaced my eyelets. The class is Sunday 20 August at 2pm. Please message me if you would like to attend, the cost is $10 per item. The item price will decrease to $5 each with a $25 order. Please email me at cardsandcraftswithmelissa@gmail.com of you would like to attend. Front of Wood Slice Ornament Back of Wood Slice Ornament

Crafting Subscription Box

Image
Paper Pumpkin is a crafting subscription box. Stampin' Up has hit the mark with Paper Pumpkin. Each kit is mailed to you in a box through the US Post Office and comes with an ink dot, stamp set, adhesive dots. It also includes the tools to create the cards or craft for the month. Past kits have included cards, desk calendar, gift boxes and cards, banners, and treat containers.  Some kits take 30 minutes others take a couple of hours. I think it depends on distractions and organization. You can get ideas from Pinterest on alternative ideas for your Paper Pumpkin if you don't need that amount of cards.  And you can order refills if you need more!  Skipping a month or cancelling is easy. You just turn off before the 10th of each month.  I look forward to getting my Paper Pumpkin every month and hope that you join in the fun! Bike Ride Stamp Set

Image
When I attended On Stage in Shreveport one of the prize patrol sets was Bike Ride. I have not played with it until last night and then again today. I did not buy the dies for the set so I just used it as a stamp set and did "fussy cutting". It's a cute set. I like all the different accessories the bike comes with and the dog is so CUTE! I wanted to use pink and blue and accent the bike in pink. I tried to play with it again today, but had some errands to run and didn't finish what I was making. Bike Ride is Item #143746 or click here to go to my store to purchase the set. I will play some more with this set and post pictures. Hope you all get an idea how fun this set is! Mel

Challenging Myself

Image
I have about 250 Stampin' Up stamp sets and there are A LOT that I have not used.  So I decided to challenge myself to use all of my stamp sets. Today I used Tuscan Vineyard Item # 141902 I used traditional ink pads, Stampin' Dots, Stampin' Up Markers and also Watercolor Pencils . I wanted to show off this great set that I fell in love with when it came out.  I am a wine drinker but I love the Mediterranean theme of ANYTHING. We decorated our kitchen and living in the Mediterranean style.  I did not add any sentiments because I am not sure what I am going to use these for yet.  I used every stamp in this set so you can see the different ways the set can be used. I used the In Colors card stock for most of the cards. I colored the landscape with Watercolor Pencils and stamped the background with two of the stamps. The grape cluster is so fun but also classic. The lined up wine corks remind me of the collections of wine corks we have. The flourish was ...
