My Craft Room

Hi everyone! Having a designated craft space became a priority to me as soon as I began crafting. We have moved 2 times since I became a Stampin' Up Demonstrator.  I also dabble in a few other crafts like sewing and I love to use my Cricut to make different vinyl projects and iron-on projects.

Here are a few pictures of my craft room. I was very fortunate to find some great deals at the IKEA in Austin. This space also doubles as my office. I do some work from home to avoid extra long nights at work and I am going to college to get my degree in graphic design.

Curvy Keepsake Scarecrow Treat Box

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a little while, my family and I went on vacation to Disney World and then to see our son graduate from his MOS school in the Marines. Here is one of my FAVORITE holiday dies, the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die. Item # 135853 $33.00. http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/melissahanson/catalogs I used very vanilla card stock Item #101650 and scraps of fall colors. In the spirit of fall, even though it's 90 degrees here in Texas, here is my scarecrow treat box I made at a scrapbook and stamping retreat.  You can fit a mini M&M and Skittles bag and some small candy in there.  My nephews love these treat boxes. I will make more for the holidays and post them. The ideas are endless. Pinterest has a lot of great ideas of how to use this versatile die.

Easter Cards

Hi Everyone! Did a little crafting this weekend. I worked on two Easter Cards using Easter Message Item #142987 http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/melissahanson/ The Easter Message Stamp Set (Item #142987) is such a wonderful set. Reminding us of the true meaning of Easter.  Using the palm leaves and colored them with the water color pencils and then cut them out. For the sentiment and Easter Lily I stamped the directly to the card stock. I then stamped the Easter Lily on Whisper White card stock and cut it out adhering the Easter Lilies over the stamped image. I hope you enjoyed these cards.
