Holiday Catalog Preview

I'm sorry I didn't post Thursday, my daughter had some great news and we had to do come planning for upcoming events then Friday she was accepted to college. So I was a little preoccupied.

The last video was posted on Thursday and it did not disappoint! Then I got to see the catalog!! I am so excited! The Christmas stamp sets are so wonderful! There are a few fall sets, that will be versatile throughout the year.  The Halloween sets are so fun and there is a die that is so great! It is on trend and perfect for so many things other than Halloween. 
I am going to reread the SU policy on posting the cover of the catalog. I am sure I have to wait, but I will do a preorder and you will see what I create from the sets I order and will share them here.
And stay tuned Tuesday there is an announcement that you won't want to miss.

Curvy Keepsake Scarecrow Treat Box

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a little while, my family and I went on vacation to Disney World and then to see our son graduate from his MOS school in the Marines. Here is one of my FAVORITE holiday dies, the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die. Item # 135853 $33.00. http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/melissahanson/catalogs I used very vanilla card stock Item #101650 and scraps of fall colors. In the spirit of fall, even though it's 90 degrees here in Texas, here is my scarecrow treat box I made at a scrapbook and stamping retreat.  You can fit a mini M&M and Skittles bag and some small candy in there.  My nephews love these treat boxes. I will make more for the holidays and post them. The ideas are endless. Pinterest has a lot of great ideas of how to use this versatile die.

Easter Cards

Hi Everyone! Did a little crafting this weekend. I worked on two Easter Cards using Easter Message Item #142987 http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/melissahanson/ The Easter Message Stamp Set (Item #142987) is such a wonderful set. Reminding us of the true meaning of Easter.  Using the palm leaves and colored them with the water color pencils and then cut them out. For the sentiment and Easter Lily I stamped the directly to the card stock. I then stamped the Easter Lily on Whisper White card stock and cut it out adhering the Easter Lilies over the stamped image. I hope you enjoyed these cards.
