Love Today Planner

I am the first to admit that having a smart phone I really didn't think I needed a planner like I did when the kids were younger. I had a "Mommy Planner" beginning 2005. It was instrumental in keeping track of my kids reoccurring doctor appointments and school activities.  Now, as two of my kids are out of the house and adults and my daughter is now a Senior in high school the planner not only keeps track of my appointments but it is also a "living scrapbook".  I use my Cannon Selphy printer to print all of my favorite pictures from the month.  I just ordered my planner in June so I decided to begin it in July.  The advantage of a planner like Love Today Planner Kit is that you can customize it beginning in whatever month you wish. So if you want to begin it for the school year you can, or be traditional and begin it in January.

Curvy Keepsake Scarecrow Treat Box

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a little while, my family and I went on vacation to Disney World and then to see our son graduate from his MOS school in the Marines. Here is one of my FAVORITE holiday dies, the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die. Item # 135853 $33.00. http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/melissahanson/catalogs I used very vanilla card stock Item #101650 and scraps of fall colors. In the spirit of fall, even though it's 90 degrees here in Texas, here is my scarecrow treat box I made at a scrapbook and stamping retreat.  You can fit a mini M&M and Skittles bag and some small candy in there.  My nephews love these treat boxes. I will make more for the holidays and post them. The ideas are endless. Pinterest has a lot of great ideas of how to use this versatile die.

Easter Cards

Hi Everyone! Did a little crafting this weekend. I worked on two Easter Cards using Easter Message Item #142987 http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/melissahanson/ The Easter Message Stamp Set (Item #142987) is such a wonderful set. Reminding us of the true meaning of Easter.  Using the palm leaves and colored them with the water color pencils and then cut them out. For the sentiment and Easter Lily I stamped the directly to the card stock. I then stamped the Easter Lily on Whisper White card stock and cut it out adhering the Easter Lilies over the stamped image. I hope you enjoyed these cards.
